NEW Device Mounting Clinic!

CPEC’s new Device Mounting Clinic enables people to access their Assistive Technology in everyday life by having it appropriately mounted to their wheelchair and other equipment.

Our therapists work collaboratively with the person (and their family and/or therapy team) to meet their individual needs. This may include mounting different types of electronic communication devices, iPads or tablets onto a range of different equipment (eg, desks, wheelchairs, walking frames).

The process involves five steps:

  • Reviewing the person’s current setup (if any)
  • Exploring and trialing new mounting options
  • Applying for funding and prescribing the best choice through the Statewide Equipment Program
  • Fitting the new mounting system
  • Conducting a follow-up review after a month

CPEC would like to thank The Flora and Frank Leith Charitable Trust and the State Trustees Grassroots Grants Program for making this program possible
