boardBoard of Management

CPEC’s Board of Management is comprised of a majority of parents whose children attend our Centre. We consider this important as it ensures our organisation’s direction always remains relevant to the people we support.

Chairperson: Tom Kennedy

Tom’s daughter, Brooke, has early onset generalised dystonia and attends CPEC’s Extended Education program. He is currently employed as an IT Team Leader for IBM Australia. Before then he spent 30 years working within the banking industry for the National Australia Bank as an IT specialist, as well as undertaking various other roles such as in customer banking. Tom holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting).

Treasurer: Lawrence Abbey

Lawrence works in the Financial sector, and his son, James, currently attends CPEC’s Early Intervention program.

Secretary: Michele Burns

Michele currently holds the position of Events & Administration Officer at CPEC and has experience in Human Resources, Event Management, Administration, Reception, and a range of other roles.

General Member: Kate Breuer

Kate works in the Science sector, and her daughter, Rose, currently attends CPEC’s Early Intervention program.

General Member: Melissa Tucker

Melissa’s youngest son Oliver attends CPEC’s early intervention program. She has a background in both health and education.

General Member: Claire Cotter

Claire is the Chief Executive Officer of CPEC, a senior Occupational Therapist, and one of CPEC’s original founders.

General Member: Lynn Carter

Lynn is an Honourary Mentor of CPEC therapy staff, having retired as Senior Physiotherapist three years ago, and she is one of the founders of CPEC.
