Fundraising is essential to CPEC. We are a non-profit organisation that relies on donations to keep running. Only 26% of our operating costs are funded by the government so there is much more we need through the support of individuals, communities and businesses.
Fundraising is a fantastic opportunity to not only support a good cause, but also have fun, build community connections, and work together to make a real difference to the lives of families and children with cerebral palsy.
Check out our Fundraising Hub. You can set up your own fundraising event or challenge, donate, bequest, or join other ways to support CPEC.
Organise a Special Event Fundraiser. Hold a Trivial Pursuit Evening, Golf Day, Barbeque, Gala Dinner, Bike Ride, Fun Run, Dress Up or Casual Day, Wine Tasting Evening or a dinner with a guest speaker from CPEC. There are endless ways to support us!
Hold a Fundraising Drive or ‘CPEC Day’. Get together with your friends and pick a day to support us – call around your connections, post on your social media pages, visit your communities – find new and creative ways to make your CPEC Fundraising Day a success!
Ask People to Sponsor You. Pick a challenge you’d like to meet and raise money for us while you achieve it. You could learn a new skill, shave your head for a good cause, join an endurance event, give up coffee for a month – whatever would work for you! Ask your friends and connections to sponsor you and donate the proceeds to CPEC.
Ask a Business to ‘Sponsor A Child’. Approach any businesses you know and ask if they would be willing to sponsor a CPEC child to help cover their fees for a year. CPEC still has a $9,500 shortfall per child to run our services, even after families pay their annual fees. It’s the perfect opportunity for any business to know they are making a significant and personal difference.
Host a CPEC Donation Tin in your Workplace or Local Community. CPEC has official donation tins that can be used to collect cash donations at locations like your local coffee shop, your workplace, your sports club, your community centre, your religious centre – basically anywhere you go and others do too!
Have a ‘Guess the Number’ Jar. Fill a jar with sweets and hold a ‘donate to guess the number of sweets’ fundraiser at your workplace or community places.
Hold a Garage Sale. Need an excuse for a spring clean? Sell off those unwanted items and donate the proceeds to CPEC.
Give a CPEC Charity Gift Card. Donate to CPEC on someone’s behalf when you next give them a greeting card, and you will let them know you support deserving children. It’s perfect for any occasion! It’s easy to do – just select CPEC as your charity recipient here through the MyCause site.
