Amelia Edwards
Speech Pathologist
Amelia is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist, with over 12 years of experience working with people with communication disability across a range of settings.  Amelia is currently working as a clinical lead speech pathologist at Novita in South Australia. Amelia is passionate about supporting communication autonomy for individuals with communication disability, and providing best practice intervention for individuals who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) guided by the principles of the AARCH.  Amelia is a certified Key Word Sign presenter and is a current AGOSCI Representative for South Australia.
In 2015, Amelia completed a PhD, which explored how parents of children on the autism spectrum make decisions about interventions for their children. Amelia has a particular interest in inclusive education and is passionate about supporting the inclusion of students who use AAC. In 2021, she completed a Master of Education (Inclusive Education Specialisation) through QUT, and she is a current board member for Inclusive Educators Australia.
Amelia is a certified PODD presenter and is available to present workshops the 2 Day Introductory and 1 Day Overview PODD workshops in South Australia and interstate.
