Iona Rutherford
Speech Pathologist
Iona is a Speech Pathologist working with preschool and school aged children with complex communication needs and their families. She has worked at the Cerebral Palsy Education Centre supporting children who have complex communication needs in specialist early childhood intervention programs and local preschools. Iona currently works in her private practice with children with complex communication needs in their local schools and preschools. She has experience implementing the Pragmatic Organisation Dynamic Display (PODD) system with children who have Cerebral Palsy and other diagnoses including Down Syndrome, Rett Syndrome, Autism and Developmental Delay. Iona has experience customising and implementing PODD communication books and page-sets for speech generating devices using a range of access methodologies.
Iona is available to present 2 day PODD Introductory workshops and 1 day overview workshops in Victoria.
