Melissa Riepsamen

Melissa is a Speech Pathologist with almost 20 years’ experience supporting people with complex communication needs. Melissa has a particular interest for supporting teens and adults with complex needs and new to communication and AAC. Melissa currently works at CPEC in Melbourne mentoring junior therapists and working in CPEC’s group programs with babies, children, teens and adults with complex disabilities who use AAC. Melissa also runs her own private practice providing services to students in both mainstream and special school settings and supporting adults in their homes and local community. Melissa has extensive experience supporting individual’s, their families and support teams to implement AAC systems and strategies across a range of settings. Melissa presents workshops and at conferences on a range of topics relating to AAC. Melissa is available to present workshops both in her home state of Victoria and interstate. She has experience presenting the PODD Introductory workshop, PODD Alternative Access workshop, PODD SGD workshop and PODD 1-day Overview workshop. Melissa is available to co-present the PODD Advanced workshop alongside Gayle Porter.
