Enabling Inclusion in School Communities: A series of free workshops at CPEC for people supporting students with cerebral palsy in mainstream school settings.
This workshop series is a joint initiative of CPEC and the Department of Education and Training (Victoria). CPEC would like to acknowledge the support of, and funding provided by, the Department of Education & Training. Both CPEC and DET are committed to providing professional development opportunities for education and health professionals supporting children and young people with cerebral palsy including those with complex communication needs.
This workshop series has been designed to provide opportunities for school leadership teams, inclusion support teams, educational and therapy personnel in mainstream schools and parents to gain information, share examples of quality practices and network. Some workshops are whole day and some are held after school hours. Participants are invited to register for those workshops that best suit their professional learning needs. Presenters include senior therapy staff from CPEC, educators, and adults with Cerebral Palsy.
The workshops are designed to be of relevance for personnel in school leadership teams, class teachers, support staff, school assistants, therapists, parents and any others who are responsible for the education of students with cerebral palsy (or similar conditions), including those with complex communication needs.
The workshops will be held at CPEC which is located at the End of Beacon Street, Glen Waverley. Free parking is available onsite.
All workshops are free. Attendance includes workshop handouts (where applicable), certificate of attendance and refreshments. Lunch is NOT supplied for full day sessions so please remember to bring your own.
